Step 1 : For marination?

Fish pieces - Half
kg seer fish

Turmeric powder – half tsp.
·
Garam masala – half tsp
·
Kashmiri chilli powder - half tsp
·
Lemon juice – 1tsp
·
Salt - as to taste
Step 1 : Fish Masala
·
Red Onion – 2 small sliced
·
Ginger - 1 tsp, Crushed
·
Garlic – 1 tsp Crushed
·
Green chiili – 2 small
·
Tomato – 1 large, sliced
·
Turmeric powder - ¼
tsp
·
Coriander Powder – 1tsp
Heat coconut oil in a wide fry pan
Shallow fry the fish pieces until
slightly brown and 75% done.
Then transfer it onto a plate and set
aside
Add sliced onion, crushed ginger and
garlic in the same pan.
Saute until the onion turns light brown
and the raw taste of the ginger and garlic goes.
Add spices and saute for 3- 4 minutes on
simmer
When the raw taste goes, add green chilli
and tomato
Mix it well and cover cook until the
tomato turns soft
Add ¼ cup water, curry leaves, crushed black
pepper and salt as to taste.
Mix it well and cook for 2 minutes
Add fried fish and gently mix it
Cover it and cook for 5-10 minutes on
medium heat or until its done.
When
its done switch off the heat and the serve the rice, Chappathi, Pathiri
, or appam.
